Buddy Walk 2023

Walking for Down Syndrome

At Hurley’s Heroes, we are all about giving back. When we heard that our favorite little guy, Paulo, was looking for people to join his team for the Buddy Walk, we knew we wanted to get involved!

Buddy Walk is an event with the purpose of bringing awareness and raising funds to help organizations provide resources to families with children with Down Syndrome. Buddy Walks take place at different times all over the country. It’s a great opportunity for Down Syndrome families to unite as a community and celebrate!

This year’s Buddy Walk in our area took place at a beautiful park in Washington Township, New Jersey. There was music, dancing, photos with Princesses Cinderella and Elsa and Superhero, Spiderman. There were bouncy houses, train rides, and free popcorn and cotton candy. We joined Team Paulo for the mile walk along the trail and enjoyed spending the day in nature as well as meeting and greeting other families.

We were so glad to be able to participate in this event as well as make an additional donation to the cause. We believe it’s important to help out in any way that you can, no matter how big or small, getting involved in some way is what makes the world a kinder and happier place.
