Making Blessing Bags for the homeless

Tonight, our heroes worked in conjunction with their buddies from the Maple Shade soccer team to create blessing bags for the homeless.

Supplies were graciously and generously donated by residents of Maple Shade and surrounding towns & communities, our heroes’ families, as well as the Maple Shade soccer team!

At Hurley’s Heroes, we strive to be part of, as well as, to give back to others in the community. The creation of blessing bags allowed our heroes to learn about altruism, compassion and the joy you give by helping others. Embedded in the task we learned about working in an assembly line, following directions, collaboration with a partner, staying on-task, maintaining your role within an interaction and quality control.

After we created these bags they were donated to two organizations which personally distributes them out to homeless individuals within the cities of Camden and Kensington.
