Pop Up Coffee Shop

Program Highlights Thursday February 1, 2024

Last night we had a fabulous evening celebrating Sean's birthday and hosting a pop-up coffee shop! 

We separated our heroes into 4 rotating groups and had 4 stations. One station was the coffee station, one station was hangman, one station was memory and one station was dodgeball. As the birthday boy, Sean got to select 3 additional heroes to be in his group as well as the physical activity (He chose dodgeball). 

After breaking into some birthday piñatas that Sean brought in for the heroes, we started rotating our groups. Miss Ann and her daughter manned the coffee table and supported our heroes in making coffee and hot chocolate for the township patrons and some of our very own heroes' families who stopped by as well. Every hero did an amazing job and remembered what we had practiced at a preview Hurley's Heroes session. 

We had some special visitors stop by as well, not only for coffee but to play some dodge ball with our heroes. A big thanks to the Maple Shade Police officers for stopping by to support our heroes!

We look forward to having more opportunities like these to give our heroes both job and social experiences!
